Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1962 , Bruce Banner aka Hulk has become one of Marvel ’s strong and most recognizable characters . Bruce is one of the smartest people on the planet , but Hulk does n’t have the same horizontal surface of intelligence and or else rely on sheer intensity level to get out unmanageable situations .
In most instances , Hulk ’s force and near invulnerability avail him win any battle he becomes a part of . Hulk has had many famous free-for-all over his 50 - plus year stretch in the comic , but his adventures have go on to become even more pop thanks to the Marvel Cinematic Universe . First played by Edward Norton inThe Incredible Hulk , it ’s beenMark Ruffalo who ’s taken over the rolefromThe Avengersand onward . As strong as Hulk is , Ruffalo ’s translation suffered a terrible defeat in his last visual aspect - but it ’s far from the only time the Green Goliath has been defeated .

Of course , the comic have also shown Zeus , Sentry , and a next version of Hulk defeating him , so more losses could be adapted to the freehanded screen in the future . Unfortunately , it ’s extremely improbable that the licking suffered at the hands of Superman and Batman will ever make it off the comics page , so fans interested in seeing those brush play out will just have to revisit the back issues to do so .
