HARLEY QUINN
The edition of Harley Quinn in this Batman movie is a tonic variety . She is not with Joker at all any longer , although she does observe him once when she uses Joker - gas on Nightwing . She is also sovereign , although she is sputter to make it in the straight world .
However , what makes Harley Quinn so peachy here is that she is a perfect example of what a scoundrel might go through when strain to go straight . She wants to be serious and desire nothing to do with the world of heroes and scoundrel any longer , but no one will give her a break . Even Batman and Nightwing have slight regard for her despite her doing her time and trying to move on .
BATMAN/HARLEY QUINN DYNAMIC
The intact moral force between Batman and Harley Quinn is great in this movie . Batman desire nothing more than to solve the latest crime and he does n’t manage who he has to use to get that done . Harley Quinn just desire to be leave alone to strain to make it through life without the costumed crew dragging her along .
It is very interesting becauseBatman is a total jerkand seems to have no economic consumption for reclamation or lease a former vicious move on with their life-time . Yes , the most important thing is to solve the crime , but he is such a jerk to Harley that you ca n’t help but feel for her – and that is important because this is her story .
NIGHTWING
Nightwinghere is used to great consequence . He is sent by Batman to get information from Harley Quinn and he really shows a lot of his mentor ’s penchant to refuse to mind to what anyone is read . Harley Quinn want to be forget alone and Nightwing does n’t deal or believe that she really want to go the straight and narrow .
However , Nightwing comes to recognize that Harley Quinn is n’t really a high-risk guy on the interior – just a little insane . It is a nice contrast to Batman ’s stoical attitude and is a squeamish span between Harley and Batman for the viewer .
KITSCH VALUE
There is one area whereBatman and Harley Quinnis a bit of a culture shock – especially for hoi polloi watching the most late DC revivify film . This movie is totally kitsch . There are random birdsong and terpsichore numbers , include one where Batman and Nightwing are involved in a bar battle while Harley blab .
The moment that Harley Quinn captures Nightwing and the two start to make out professor this is not a kids movie . When the movie ends , there is not so much a giant hero - gain battle but just a silly last scene to show how they won . This movie is strange but has its charms .
THE HUMOR
With the kitsch comes the humor . While there are moments like the Harley Quinn and Nightwing scene , with the former Boy Wonder marry to her bed , it is offset by a uproarious scenery of Batman walk in and Nightwing claiming that he ca n’t judge because of his yesteryear with female supervillains .
For a pic with adult moments , like the said Nightwing scenery , there are also some moments that are intend for the most juvenile humor , such as Harley Quinn asking to go to the bathroom , being refused , and delivering her own gas in the Batmobile . The flick is never afraid to stop for some humour – including a square sunburn at the expense ofBooster Gold .
THE MUSIC
The music inBatman and Harley Quinnis really good . Thanks to the kitsch economic value , there are some song and dance numbers and they fit the theme perfectly . The two bounteous birdsong in the movie are " Do n’t deplumate Your Love " by Hamilton , Joe Frank & Reynolds and " advert on the Telephone " by Blondie .
The first birdsong was performed by Rob Paulsen , who is best hump for voicing Raphael and Donatello fromTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtlesand Pinky from thePinky and the Braincartoons . The second was a standout performance with Melissa Rauch singing as Harley Quinn .
JASON WOODRUE
It is n’t hard to come up with a better adaptation of Jason Woodrue than fans have previously seen in Batman flick . Known in the comic Book as the Floronic Man , Woodrue was first seen in the 1997 filmBatman & Robin . With the huge appearances of Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy , it might make him forgettable , though . Woodrue was played by John Glover and was who was responsible for turning Pamela Isley intoPoison Ivybefore she killed him in revenge .
It is interesting to seeFloronic Manand Poison Ivy team up up here , considering their kinship inBatman & Robin , but considering how much critics and sports fan hated that picture show , pretending it never happened inBatman and Harley Quinnis believably a very in effect matter .
SWAMP THING
Swamp Thingis a DC image . He had two motion-picture show ( the first directed by Wes Craven ) and will get a show on the DC Universe cyclosis service as well . He also is n’t new to the world of DC animated movies , as he appeared inJustice League Darkthe same year that he appeared inBatman and Harley Quinn .
InJustice League Dark , he was treated harshly and destroyed by Destiny , something that seems surprising for lover who bonk how powerful Swamp matter is . However , inBatman and Harley Quinn , it was more like sports fan await when he showed up , coif down Floronic Man but then enounce he did n’t like about their battle because it did n’t affect the Green , and then left .
