Marvel Studios surprise everyone this dawning with the release of the fullAvengers : Endgametrailerfor the 22nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe . It continues an unorthodoxmarketing approach forAvengers : Endgame , which is hide as much of the secret plan as possible , and rather highlighting the characters who will lead the final instalment of Phase 3 .
The unquestioned stars of the film are the original six retaliator : Robert Downey Jr. ’s Iron Man , Chris Evans ' Captain America , Chris Hemsworth ’s Thor , Scarlett Johansson ’s Black Widow , Mark Ruffalo ’s Hulk , and Jeremy Renner ’s Hawkeye . While the plan to reverse Thanos ' snap from the end ofAvengers : eternity Warisn’t whole clear , we do know that they ’ll get help from other surviving heroes . sports fan have been most excited forBrie Larson ’s Captain Marveland Paul Rudd ’s Ant - Man to join the team , and the entire roster of heroes foregather to star in the prescribed poster forEndgame . Everyone from Thanos to Rocket to Danai Gurira ’s Okoye were shown - but Gurira was noticeably lacking from the billing portion of the poster .

The lack of recognition for theBlack Pantherstar rapidly became the root of some outrage online by fan who were furious that Marvel did not credit her with the rest of the film ’s pictured virtuoso . It took them a few hours , butMarvelhas now re - released theEndgameposter to include a credit for Gurira . They share the new design on social media saying:“She should have been up there all this clock time . "
The outrage online over Gurira ’s absence seizure from the poster is justifiable , as every other lead feature on the poster was credited on the in the beginning released adaptation . It is n’t vindicated why Gurira was leave off the charge to set about with , but at least Marvel bushel their oversight in a fair amount of sentence . Interestingly , Gurira has yet to be show in any new footage inEndgame ’s marketing , so even though they ’re now giving her proper charge , they are still for the most part hold back her role .
With Gurira sport in the poster ( and now credited ) , it ’s hopefully a sign that she will have a semi - important role to play inEndgame . Black Panther ( Chadwick Boseman ) andpossibly Shuri(Letitia Wright ) were victims of the snap , so Okoye ’s leadership and commitment to Wakanda may be all the more authoritative in the current state of the world . How Wakanda factors intoEndgameis presently a mystery , and there ’s yet to be any signaling that Okoye will connect the Avengers on whatever missions they go on . gratefully , there are only a few more weeks left beforeAvengers : Endgamehits theaters and we ’ll get to know on the dot what role Okoye has to play here .
