Now in outlet # 50 Wally is the fastest man alert , he wins the race . You saw him win the airstream [ against Barry Allen and Superman ] in # 49 . In # 50 Barry tells him , ' You ’re the profligate man alive , I ’m not the dissipated man alert anymore . ' But one of the things Barry does in # 50 is he motivates and inspires Wally to run faster . Which is very much their relationship , and very much who Barry is . Barry is the character who root on people to be hero . He inspires people to do easily , and that allows Wally to do well .
Since the start ofDC Universe : Rebirth , the heart of this story has been rest on the renewed adherence between Barry Allen and Wally West . So when news broke thatFlash Warwould perdition Barry and Wally against eachother , fans were rightly have-to doe with . In the oddment , Wally ’s motivations were justify , and the hold out damage is more ideologic than physical . But reliable to the promise of that original teasing , Flash Wardid determine Wally is the fastest Flash .
But if you recall that ’s a final , square sign of who is the " best " Flash … Williamson reminds sports fan that each speedster , each hero , and each eccentric is running their own airstream . And Barry ’s is just getting started :
I know a lot of mass have always been saying , ' Well , Wally is the dissolute , he ’s the fastest , he should be The Flash because of that . ' And my answer back is … really ? That ’s it ? It just take the speed part , like that ’s all it take ? I intend that ’s the thing that Barry is go to be die through too . Barry is cogitate , ' Why do I deserve to be The Flash ? Do I merit these thing ? ' He has to see out , on top of ' How do I become the immobile man alive any longer ? ' but ' How do I become the good Flash I can be ? ' And that ’s what the story is going to be with Barry move forward .
