There ’s a lack of transparency and silver dollar in the tease and account of this mode , and what players bewilder after months of waiting , is n’t good at all .
Combined Arms offers eight missions spread across five of the game ’s multiplayer map , and there are four different nonsubjective types which are all basically the same . Destroy three thing , pour down certain foe or a entire number of them , steal three things , etc . , and then pull . There ’s a lack of immersion of innovation here since Combined Arms uses existing maps but fills them with ' out of bounds ' areas and unearthly , tight half - transparent walls when enemies attack during the net extraction stage . There ’s also no real cause or story behind the basic objective .
There ’s no beginning or end to the military mission and no promised narrative to speak of . It ’s implausibly generic and unimpressive , lacking variety or any sense of urgency . What ’s specially strange is how poor the main gameplay is where DICE lead the approach of making foeman slug sponge , give the weapons and their ammo limit out of proportionality and simply not that fun .
These customization options don’t exist in the game.
The glitches do n’t help either and footling things like not being capable to restock explosive ammo when digest beside more of that equipped explosive arm , or the plot not saving Combined Arms stratum loadouts . More missions are promised for Combined Arms as part ofBattlefield V’sTides of War alive military service , but what the mode needs is a full service of the master gameplay loop topology , not more of the same .
