Nolan ’s movie , for all their specialty , have often been criticized for feature subpar distaff admirer in the yesteryear . By this point , the director has become ill-famed for making films where the female lead is either a dead wife who haunt the manful protagonist in some style ( see : Memento , Inception ) or a character who supports the manly pencil lead but does n’t of necessity have an electric discharge of her own ( see : Batman Beginsand , again , Inception ) .
