In the wake of Depp ’s now ex-wife - married woman , Amber Heard , accusing him of domesticated wildness , manyHarry Potterfans criticize his casting as the iconic scoundrel . However , Rowling continues to defend that project determination , but her statements do little to satisfy many fan who criticized the cast in the first plaza .
It seems , though , that the movie might put less focus on Grindelwald than initially think . Taking Law ’s program line into account , as well as consideringhow slight of Grindelwald appears in the movie ’s trailer , it seems that Warner Bros. is also a scrap nervous about Depp ’s continued involvement in the franchise .
It ’s still a disappointment , though , that longtimeHarry Potterfans wo n’t get to see Dumbledore and Grindelwald in the same room , much less discussing their past relationship with each other . Considering the history the two men supposedly have together , it feels uneven not to have at least one scene where they face each other .
