While Disney may have felt they could no longer make for with Gunn , Warner Bros. and DC had no problem eventually signing him up to save and direct a sequel to 2016’sSuicide Squad , now style simplyThe Suicide Squad . On cut for a 2021 theatrical release , The Suicide Squadis kind of a sequel to David Ayer ’s film and sort of asoft reboot that introduces a bunch of new charactersto the nominal squad of antiheroes .

Thanks to aColliderreport from earlier today , it ’s now know what characters are likely to beamong the raw additions , including King Shark . One such raw character reportedly likely to appear inThe Suicide Squadis Peacemaker , a fairly unknown DC character so consumed with achieving peacefulness that he ’ll paradoxically resort to any violent means in lodge to get it . While nothing is gear up in Harlan Stone yet , Gunn plainly want his oldGuardians of the Galaxystar Bautista to play Peacemaker .

If Bautista does indeed fit in to recreate Peacemaker inThe Suicide Squadthough , one wonders if that will varnish Drax ’s portion in the MCU . Marvel Studios seems attached to eventually makingGuardians of the Galaxy 3with a novel director , and Bautista has sound out that hisMCU contract bridge would require him to return for the sequelwhether he require to or not . However , if Bautista ’s really that unhappy , and will also before long link up the DCEU roster , perhaps Marvel Studios will make up one’s mind to for good kill Drax off and let their clearly disgruntled employee go off on his merry way .
