It ’s possible that Zod being the son of Seg and Lyta could make the character ' situation even more complicated . Lyta ’s decision to help Zod has alienated Seg , who was recently informed ofZod ’s intent to become the next ruler of Krypton . Her allegiance to him and his cause was cement when she shoot her own mother during their affaire d’honneur . A reconciliation between Seg and Lyta does n’t seem likely at this point , which could threaten Zod ’s very world . While the show has so far been concenter on the possibility that Superman ’s birthing could be loosen , it may instead be General Zod who ends up being pass over out of existence . If Seg and Lyta do n’t get back together , Superman may lose one of his greatest enemy .
