During the press conference forAnt - Man & The Wasp , whichScreen Rantattended , the veteran actor open up up about channeling Pfeiffer ’s Janet van Dyne during one of the most bizarre moments in the movie . When asked specifically about the wild chronological succession , during which Rudd must portray Pfeiffer ’s Janet interact with Hank and Hope , Rudd responded :

Evangeline Lilly and Paul Rudd in Ant-Man and the Wasp

I feel like I ’ve been doing that for years . Every fourth dimension we would look up to that , we keep calling it the “ All Of Me Sequence ” and we ’d have many conversation about it earlier on . Because this seems like a clean big swing . But it was surreal , to say the least . And there are those moments , you know , as an actor , you have to buy into this scenario and you ’re playing the the true of the bit . But at the same prison term , as me being me and Michael being Michael , when I had my paw tenderly to his cheek and I ’m staring … in the eye , here we … we giggle a brace of metre .

The scene in interrogative   is in the second one-half of the film ,   just when Hank and Hope   are trying to pinpoint the exact location of Janet in the Quantum Realm so they can finally retrieve her . As it turns out , during Scott ’s initial sojourn to the alternate dimension where he concisely encountered the original Wasp , Janet plant an antenna in his head , allowing her to communicate via the hilarious ex - sting . It also allows her to help Hank and Hope trace the signaling back to her within the Quantum Realm . When ask if Pfeiffer was on set while shooting the aforementioned scene to give out some tips , a relieved Rudd say no:“Oh , I would never have been able to do that with her there … dead not . "

Aside from rescuing Janet , Scott and Hope   will also take on themysterious villain Ghost , whose alter - ego has   ties to the Quantum Realm , alongside low - level criminal named Sonny Burch played by Walton Goggins . Not much is known regarding both of the motion-picture show ’s antagonist , but Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige previously share that Ghost , in fussy , was chosenbecause she ’s very differentfromBlack Panther ’s Killmonger andAvengers : Infinity War ’s Thanos .
