Using the name Captain Marvel , the fictitious character went on to become the most pop of the decennary . DC finally acquired the character , however , and integrated them into their population . Due to a conflict with Marvel , however , they had to change the name from Captain Marvel to Shazam - so mention after the charming word that concede Billy Batson his reach of power . There will no doubt be fans , however , who will latch onto this as a potential hint that Shazam will reclaim his claim . That is always a possibility , though extremely unlikely . It may get a nod , but it ’s dubitable that DC and Marvel would be unforced to divvy up the name . That theory will no doubt be bolstered , though , by the fact that Grace Fulton is credit as Mary Marvel . Between that and Grazer ’s credit , it could be that Billy will share his power , further hinting thatthe integral Shazam familywill play a part in the pic ’s proceeding . How Google reacts between now and the release ofShazam!will no doubt clarify things . If they right it , then it was indeed a mistake . For the prison term being , though , it offers fan much to consider .
