At least , that certain looks to be the kink break in the belated comics , in whichthe older Superman of DC ’s futurehas returned to our time to premise the Justice League to their future similitude . It ’s a vision of the world that may one day be , and a world in which the heroes have unfeignedly advance . And plainly , a world in which ' The Flash ' is comprised of not just one speedster , but a deductive reasoning of the two most iconic version . Barry and Wally always were in effect friends … peradventure merging into one speedster was inevitable ?
The sensational debut of the higher level , modern , 6th proportion version of the League was revealed in Scott Snyder and Jorge Jimenez’sJustice League # 19 , pass on hints of how Wonder Woman , Green Lantern , and even Batman might ascend to their most heightened sort over time . But it was the version of Flash that seemed most curious . Now thatJustice League # 20is out , the oddtriple - nature of this Future Flash seems to be just as it appeared . Take a feeling :
The idea of Barry Allen in his Graeco-Roman Flash costume , and Wally in his own signature , cowl - less wooing combining into one singular speedster is a compelling one , not to refer a creative way to end the’Which version of The Flash is Better’debate for good . But as strange as it might seem to even consider , there is case law for it in the live DC Comics mythology . In that vision of DC ’s future , the speedster known as ' The Flash ' was once Wally West . But when Wally decided to stop ever stopping , he became a being of pure amphetamine , and looked more like the god Mercury than ever before ( as basically a deity existing at all points , at all times ) . ThatKingdom Come / future Flash was a fictional potpourri of Wally , Barry , Jay Garrick , andother speedsters power by the Speed Force . So ifJustice League # 20is teasing a literal blend of past Flashes into a individual avatar of the Speed Force , it could be a beautiful court . Not to mention a rake pure bit of sci - fi / fantasy .
