The documentary villains of theHarry Potterseries were the Death Eaters . Although some of them were blackmailed into doing Lord Voldemort ’s bidding or threatened into it , most of them seemed to believe in his pretty outrageous cause — genocide of non - wizard blood . It was a dark theme , but it worked well for the series because it made us detest the people Harry was struggle against . And is n’t that the whole point ?
Nevertheless , they were pretty fascinating persona and are still interesting to search into . We ’ve thought about theMyers - Briggspersonality types of the Death Eaters we know well enough to type .
Lord Voldemort: INTJ
drawing card of the Death Eaters , Dark Lord , it’sVoldemort . Lots of people conceive Voldemort is an ENTJ because he ’s a stand commander , but we have to disagree slightly . He ’s very reserved about his personal life , tends towards privateness , and spent a ludicrous amount of time in the forest of Albania withdrawing from society . For most of the war , he operated in the screen background . Even when the Ministry was taken over , he order one of his puppet at the head rather than sitting there himself .
He ’s still frigid and calculating though , pretty much a Einstein , and that makes him an INTJ .
Severus Snape: INTJ
One of the few people to ever truly outsmart the Dark Lord , whatSnapedid hire a circumstances of careful planning and masking his emotions and how he truly feel about the whole site . He lied to Voldemort ’s fount and manipulated situations like a master copy to keep Harry safe . His motivation was questionable but disregarding of his reasons , he did it successfully .
Like Voldemort , he ’s an INTJ — secret , reserved , but figure and manipulative , and very successful at being both . Snape and Voldemort was outstanding examples of how two very unlike people can actually be the same personality type . They ’re just dissimilar side of it , with the trait sitting at varying levels of intensity .
Bellatrix Lestrange: ESFP
Bellatrixis a very interesting role . She’sSirius ’ cousin , married to Rodolphus Lestrange but blatantly in erotic love with Lord Voldemort . She ’s a very enthusiastic character , creative and screw to put on a show — even if those shows are very creepy displays of torture . She seems very quicksilver and comes across as someone who ca n’t design as well as Snape and Voldemort , but is very utilitarian for other thing . Such as scaring masses .
She ’s an ESFP who ’s using all of the distinctive ESFP traits to an unhealthy uttermost . She ruins the villain stereotype of them all being subdued masterminds and for that , you have to credit her .
Lucius Malfoy: ESTJ
From what we see of Lucius Malfoy , he sit down at the head of the home and keeps everything in order . He seems to be very toughened on Draco , expecting the estimable from him in every position and anything his son ever does never seems to be good enough . If he contract a good course , it does n’t weigh , ifHermionedid better . If he play well inQuidditch , it does n’t count , if Harry bunk him .
He ’s a great mass manager but a really poor Padre in terms of emotional support , and his difficultness expressing motion combine with his supervisor - like parenting skills score him an ESTJ .
Draco Malfoy: ESTP
His son , Draco , has a few possible type , as we see dissimilar sides of him over the series — but , ultimately , he seems to be an ESTP . He ’s very prone to risks , raring , and insensitive — deliberately so at time . When Draco want something , he wants it correctly then and there .
On the more prescribed side , he seems to be very direct and bold , and there ’s a floor of practicality to him ; after all , he does pretty well in shoal even if he ’s not as cagey as Hermione . He also manages to desexualize the disappear cabinet , if you need further proof .
All of these trait combined make him an ESTP overall .
Peter Pettigrew: ISFJ
Pettigrew is n’t really your typical villain . He does n’t believe in Voldemort ’s cause at all , but does n’t have enough of a moral linchpin to stand up to his ideas either . It ’s more the weakness of an ISFJ that stand out than the strengths here , though . He ’s very shy , takes things personally , and seems to be very sensitive . He ’s the villainous version of an ISFJ .
ISFJs have the capacity to be very loyal people , but it seems like the war made Peter a very ruined , burnt out ISFJ . After all , he ’s definitely not loyal or altruistic , which are two positive trait that can be expect from an ISFJ . More than anything , he ’s fast to himself and his own life .
Although hedidrepay the debt to Harry , if you remember correctly … maybe that ’s a clue to his eccentric being a straight ISFJ , in the end . Even the positive degree .
Barty Crouch Jr.: INFP
Barty Crouch Jr. is a severe one to get to jazz , if only because he ’s act like someone else for most of the metre that we see him . He pretends to be Mad - Eye Moody and we see his true self only in a flashback and under the influence of Veritaserum , which makes his personality white . But from what we experience , he was really consecrate to Voldemort , a passionate person who might have turned out well if he had n’t been rear so poorly . He was creative , but his bad menage living tug trait that could have been used for good into something really speculative .
Overall , he seems to be an INFP .
Fenrir Greyback: XXXX
Did you have it away that the Myers - Briggs organisation is only destine to be used on those who are mentally healthy , with a balanced mind ? It ’s gruelling to pinpoint a type for those who do n’t have that — lease alone masses who have become perfect monsters .
Fenrir Greyback was n’t technically a Death Eater as he was n’t allowed the Dark Mark , but he was form for Voldemort — and he is a brilliant model of the fact that this system ca n’t be hold to everyone . A nonparallel sea wolf full of only damaging trait , he is a complete Myers - Briggs outlier . He ca n’t be squeeze into any of the boxes , which makes him a passably rarified individual .
